There are no tollbooths or barriers around the Congestion Charging Zone and no physical tickets or passes are required.
There is a network of camera sites monitoring entrance and exit to the Congestion Charging zone along the boundary road, and monitoring journeys made within the charging zone.
If you pay the charge on the day of travel you pay £8
If you pay the charge on the first charging day after travel you pay £10
If you do not pay the charge by the end of the first charging day after your journey you will be subject to a Penalty charge.
Some vehicles qualify for discounts and exemptions
Fleet vehicles registered through a ‘Fleet Account, pay a reduced fee
