Driving and operating a Fork Lift Truck within the yard, supporting your fleet of drivers with loading/unloading their vehicles. You`ll be responsible for the maintenance and safety of you and your colleagues operating within the yard. Using your own leadership and initiative to help you and your colleagues meet the targets set by the company.
As a Fork Lift Truck Driver, your duties will include:
- Driving and operating a Fork Lift Truck within the yard - Loading/Unloading Products from Heavy Goods Vehicles/Vans - Storing Packaged Products Safely within the yard - Maintaining the yard to the high levels set by the company, ensuring the safety of you and your colleagues to operate within
Skills and qualifications required:
- 2 years` experience driving Fork Lift Trucks (Counter Balance) - Original Fork Lift Certificate from when you achieved/gained your licence from a recognised training body - The ability to work in cooperation with the existing fleet, sharing your own experience and knowledge with the ability to adapt to the companies methods and standards - Basic, Disclosure and Barring Service Check/Certificate (DBS) within the first 28 days of assignment (Blue Arrow Cardiff can provide you with the link for this service, at a cost of £36.45, card payments only) Transport Links:
- 10 minutes` drive from Cardiff City Centre - Due to the start times for each shift, you must have your own method of transport to be considered for this role - No Public Transport Links that will support you with arriving to work for 03:00am Start Times
Shift Patterns and Pay:
- Temporary Ongoing Contract: What does this mean? You`ll be employed by Blue Arrow Cardiff but you will be guaranteed full time hours on an ongoing contract with the company - Weekly Pay: You`ll be paid every Friday and you`ll work 1 week in advance to payment - You accumulate Holiday Pay as you work - Automatically enrolled into a pension scheme (with the option to opt out) - Shifts Patterns of Monday to Friday, 03:00am-11:00am - For each shift, you will be paid; - 3 Hours x Evening Hourly Pay Rate (£11.73 per hour) - 4.5 Hours x Standard Hourly Pay Rate (£8.82 per hour) - Any Hours worked once you have completed 37.5 hours each week, will be paid at an Over Time Hourly Rate (£13.23 per hour)
